- 63%of covers booked on the site
- 11 hrsa week back off the phone
- 41released tables resold in a quarter
What it was costing them.
Every table was booked by telephone, answered by whoever was nearest, usually mid service.
The booking platform they had trialled charged per cover and put its own brand above the restaurant's.
No table was ever released when somebody cancelled, because the cancellation was a voicemail nobody heard until the next morning.
What we did about it.
- 01
Booking that belongs to the restaurant
Taken on their own site, under their own name, with no per cover fee and no third party sitting between the guest and the room.
- 02
Cancellations that put the table back
A guest can release a table in one tap and it is live again immediately. Forty one tables were resold in the first quarter that would previously have gone empty.
- 03
Written to be read at eleven at night
Most bookings happen after service, on a phone, in bed. The whole page was designed for a thumb in the dark.
“The phone used to ring through service and somebody had to leave the floor. That is gone. The tables that get released and rebooked on the same night were not something we had even asked for.”
Have a look yourself
The whole build is live. Walk through it the same way one of their customers would.
