What it was costing them.
Searching the name of the pub and the name of the town put Quinn's on the fourth page of Google, behind two aggregator listings and a review site.
The food menu existed only as a photograph of a chalkboard on Facebook, three months out of date.
The opening hours on Google were wrong, including on Bank Holidays, which is exactly when somebody checks them.
What we did about it.
- 01
One page that answers the search
People do not search for a pub. They search for food near them, a match on the television, or somewhere open late. There is now a page for each of those, and each one converts to a phone call.
- 02
The menu, kept right from a phone
The kitchen updates it from behind the bar. It took eleven minutes to teach and it has not been out of date since.
- 03
The Google listing taken in hand
Hours, holidays, photographs, the food attributes and the questions people ask. This is free and almost nobody does it properly.
“People come in and say they found us on the phone. That never used to happen. The Tuesday and Wednesday trade is the thing that changed most and that is the trade that keeps you open.”
Have a look yourself
The whole build is live. Walk through it the same way one of their customers would.
More work
Yours would work the same way.
We will look at your site, your competitors and what people near you are searching for, then design your new homepage and show it to you. Free, and yours to look at whether you hire us or not. If your site is doing fine as it is, we will tell you that instead.
