Pricing and terms

Published, including
the awkward part.

Almost no agency puts its prices on its website, and none of them put the terms. Here is all of it, including what happens to your site on the day you decide to leave.

Plans compared
Feature Site €179/mo The website, designed, built, hosted and looked after. Most take this Site + Search €279/mo The website, plus the work that gets you found and keeps you there. Everything €449/mo The website, the search, the campaigns and someone on the phone every month.
Design and build
Hosting, domain and security
Unlimited changes
Nightly monitoring
Google Business Profile
Local search and ranking work
Monthly numbers, in English
A half day shoot and new pages, quarterly
Google Ads managed (ad spend billed to you by Google)
Two emails a month to your list
A booked strategy hour every month
Choose Start Start Start

A shop, a booking system, several languages or a few hundred products costs more. You get the exact number in writing before any work starts, and there is still nothing to pay up front. On the Everything plan your Google Ads budget is billed to you by Google directly, agreed with you first, and we take no cut of it.

What this replaces.

The usual way of buying a website compared with a subscription
Item The usual way With us
A designed website From €8,000, once Included
Hosting, domain, security €400 to €900 a year Included
Changes after launch €90 to €150 an hour Unlimited, included
Search and local marketing €700 to €1,500 a month From €279 a month, all in
Someone watching it Nobody Every night
Up front €8,000 to €22,000 Nothing

Three years of the middle plan is €10,044, with the marketing in it. Three years the usual way, taking the bottom of every range above and no marketing at all, is around €9,600, and you would own that one. So this is not the cheap option. It is roughly what the website alone would have cost you, with the marketing, the hosting, the changes and somebody watching it every night included, and nobody billing you by the hour.

The awkward part

You are renting it,
and you can buy it.

While you are with us we own the site and run it, and you use it. That is the trade that makes €179 a month possible instead of eight thousand up front, and we would rather it were on the pricing page than in the small print.

  • €2,950 to buy it outright, at any point. Everything you paid in your first twelve months comes off that.
  • 1 month notice to stop, with no contract and no minimum term.
  • Yours the domain, the photographs and the written content, always, whether you buy the site or not.
  • It goes and if you leave without buying it, the site comes off the internet. Your Google position goes with it, which is the part that actually costs you, so we would rather say it here than let you find it later.

Everything else
people ask.

Do I own the website?

While you are with us, no. We own it and run it, and you use it. That is exactly why it is €179 a month instead of eight thousand up front. You can buy it outright at any time for €2,950, and everything you have paid in your first twelve months comes off that price. We would rather say this on the pricing page than have you find it out on the day you want to leave.

What happens if I stop paying?

A month’s notice and it stops. We take the site down and hand you your domain, your photographs and your written content, which were always yours. The design and the code stay with us unless you buy them. Nobody is held anywhere by a contract.

Why is there nothing to pay up front?

Because you have no reason to trust us yet. We design your homepage first and show it to you finished. If it is not obviously better than what you have, you walk away and we have lost a week, which is our problem and not yours.

Is €179 really the whole price?

For a site of ordinary size, yes: design, build, photography, hosting, the domain, security and unlimited changes. A shop, a booking system, several languages or a few hundred products costs more, and you get that number in writing before any work starts.

How long until it is live?

About two weeks from the first call, and you will have seen and approved the design inside the first week of that.

What if I already have a website I quite like?

Then we will tell you so. We measure a few sites a week and a fair number of them are fine. You get the audit either way and it costs nothing.

What happens to my Google position if I leave?

It goes with the site, and that is the honest answer. Three years of ranking work lives in pages that come down with everything else. If you have built up a position worth keeping, buying the site outright is almost always the cheaper decision, and we will say so rather than let you walk away from it by accident.

What about my email addresses?

Your email is separate and we do not touch it. If you have info@ on your domain today it keeps working exactly as it does now, whether you are with us or not, because the domain is yours throughout. We will help you move it if it is currently tangled up with an old web host.

How fast is an unlimited change, actually?

Two working days for anything ordinary: a price, an opening hour, a photograph, a new dish, a room just finished. Same day if you ring and say it is urgent. A new page or a seasonal rebuild is about a week. If we ever miss that, tell us and stop paying, because the whole point of a monthly fee is that we have to keep earning it.

Can the price go up?

Not in your first two years. After that, never by more than inflation, never without ninety days written notice, and never in the month you would otherwise be free to leave. If we ever want more than that it will be because you asked for something bigger, and you will get the number first.

Who pays for the Google Ads?

You do, directly to Google, on your own card. We manage the campaigns on the Everything plan and we agree the budget with you before a cent is spent. We take no commission on ad spend and we never mark it up: an agency paid a percentage of your spend has an interest in you spending more.

What if I sell the business?

It transfers with the business at no charge. We will do the handover call with the new owner. If they would rather not continue, the buyout price stands and they can take it outright.

There is no contract, so what obliges you to do anything?

Nothing except that you can stop paying at the end of any month. That is deliberate and it is the strongest commitment we can make: an agency on a three year contract has already been paid, and an agency you can leave in thirty days has to be worth it in thirty days.

Send us your web address.

We will look at your site, your competitors and what people near you are searching for, then design your new homepage and show it to you. Free, and yours to look at whether you hire us or not. If your site is doing fine as it is, we will tell you that instead.
